Fashion Forward (2020)
Focusing on contemporary modest fashion through a traditional lens, Daghistani combines Western styling and Middle Eastern motifs to merge the two cultures, whilst also deconstructing Western Orientalist stereotypes of the Middle East. By presenting her current work as a fashion supplement along with constructed exhibition prints, she attempts to blur the boundaries between fashion and art. This work invites viewers to reflect on their pre-existing opinions, and hopes to broaden these, while simultaneously inviting Middle Eastern women to be involved and authentically represented.

Hijabistas (2019)
An editorial that aims to celebrate the Hijab, in a playful yet respectful manner. The work attempts to break preconceptions of the veil. Exploring the power of the fashion industry to change negative connotations of the Hijab, whilst allowing young middle eastern women to feel included.
